Founded by Robbert van der Poll and Javier Basarte, TRADEX was born out of a shared vision to secure Europe’s industrial future.
Robert van der Poll
Robbert brings decades of deep operational experience owning and managing commodity and safety equipment firms in Middelburg, Netherlands, with a proven track record of selling and trading across all of Europe
Javier Basarte
Javier combines a strong background in private equity and corporate structuring in Luxembourg with extensive industrial trading expertise in his native Spain.
Together, they recognized a critical gap in the market: the need for a highly efficient, reliable provider of natural resources and safety equipment that does not rely on fragile, non-European supply chains.
Our Mission
At TRADEX, we are driven by two main pillars: European self-independence and the re-industrialization of Europe.
We provide premium de-icing salt, industrial salt, and top-tier safety materials to big corporations, large-scale distributors, and public administrations. What makes us truly unique is our commitment to the continent: 100% of our supply chain is strictly European and ecologically responsible.
By sourcing and producing entirely within Europe, we actively reduce the carbon footprint of global shipping, strengthen our local economies, and ensure that critical safety materials and resources are always available right where they are needed most.
